President's Letter

In addition to updating the website, we have also started with an magazine totally dedicated to WOBS. The issue of the same would be out by November during founders. The magazine is Ajitesh Kir’s brain child and I congratulate him for his idea and the effort. I would like to request everyone desirous of publishing any article/picture/anecdote in the e-magazine to write directly at magazine@wobs.in and let everyone enjoy the same through this new effort from WOBS.

 

Furthermore, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce to you the Executive Committee for this year.

We at the EC are making all the efforts to ensure that everyone has a great time at the platinum jubilee. In case you look at the jubilee program, there are quite a few things lined up for ex-welhamites. Further, we have already finalized the logo for WOBS which is available for download from the website. The same logo will be used on a lot of memorabilia, which should be up for sale in a month’s time. The memorabilia, amongst other things includes a WOBS blazer, a tie, beer mugs, T-shirt etc. We will keep you updated about the same through the website and regular mailers.

In the end, I would like to thank everyone on EC for the unstinted support and their efforts being put in for the forthcoming platinum jubilee. Also, it would be most appropriate to recognize the efforts of our principal Ms Gumneet Bindra, who has been extremely supportive of WOBS and its members. It is with her efforts and blessings of the Chairman of the board, Mr Darshan Singh, WOBS has been re allotted an office in school premises. We even have a senior master, Mr Joy Arora who has been appointed as a coordinator for all communications between the school and WOBS. On behalf of WOBS, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Ms Gunmeet Bindra and Mr Darshan Singh for making us feel a part of school again and would like to ensure them that WOBS would leave no stone unturned to take Welhams to greater heights.
