REACHING OUT DURING COVID 19

During the COVID 19 lockdown, the Welham Old Boys’ Society offered assistance by distributing 300 packets of Rations to the Class IV employees of the school, in three phases. These packets contained rice, flour, pulses, soaps, sugar, salt, spices, sanitizers and cooking oil. The first phase of the distribution started on 10th April, 2020 and carried on till the 16th of April.

Masks and hand Sanitizers were also distributed to them and teachers, living within the campus.

During the second phase of distribution, both the school and WOBS Secretariat staff, risked their personal safety to distribute rations even in Red Zones, where some of the school’s support staff, lived.

In the third phase, the ration packets were distributed to some of the school’s ex support. This was followed by distributing ration packets to the migrant workers.
